As you work, use your mouse to drag this stickpin
along with you to mark your place.
Instructions
Open a new image W:600 x H:600 or larger if you prefer with a white background.
Click on the Path tool on the left tool bar. This will activate the path tool attributes on the menu bar. Select Shape Rectangle from the top toolbar and Draw a rectangle 400h x 200w with Border width 5 Depth 30. Open the Materials button (Shift+X) Click on the File button and select the wood preset you wish to use.

Duplicate this shape and change the Tool Path Settings to width 1 and Depth 30. Click on Transform Tool and unlock the Keep aspect ratio button. Resize the rectangle to 400h x 30W.
Click on the Transform Perspective tool and pull the right side of the rectangle down at bit like below: and move it off to the side for later use.
Click the Path Drawing Tool and your Main Rectangle. Go into Editing Mode. Click the Path Drawing tool again select Shape Circle and draw a circle 134w x 134h.
Select Shapes / Custom Shapes find the Arch or Fr31 and draw a shape approx. 120w x 200h. Click the Path Drawing tool button again and go back into the Path Edit tool. Holding down the Ctrl key click on all the shapes and Align Center Horizontally. and click back into 3D Mode. Your jewelry box font should now look like below.
Take the duplicated piece you made earlier and align it on the right side of your main rectangle and Send to Back (Object/Arrange Order/Send To Back)
Click on your main rectangle to set your wood color and click the Path Drawing Tool. Draw a rectangle 200w x 16h Border width 4 depth 30, and place on the front bottom of your main rectangle. Draw another rectangle 31w x 16h and arrange at the end of the one you just made. Click the Transform Slant button and push the right top notch up to 25h. Bring longer rectangle to the front.
For the top decoration using the same wood preset, I use Shape / Custom Shape Fr29 and draw a shape 200w x 50h with the Border Width 5 Depth 30. Place on top of your main rectangle.
Clock Face and Drawers
Unzip the clockface file and place the clock into the circle arrange to the back. This is a ufo file so you may ungroup and change it if you desire.
For the drawers in the Arch area. Click on your main rectangle to set the wood color and click on the Path Drawing Tool and draw a rectangle approx. 145w x 45h Border Width 9 Depth 30. Duplicate 5 times and arrange down to fill the area. You can do this by clicking on the rectangle while holding down the Ctrl Key and drag downward. This will create a duplicated piece of your rectangle. While holding down the Crtl key again click all rectangles and Align Left or Right.
Click the Path Drawing Tool again and select Custom Shape. Find a shape you like for the handles I used B44 or you can just use the rounded rectangle. Make you shape 52w x 10h Border Width 9 Depth 30. Click on the Material Attribute Gallery and apply Metallic Cooper 3 to your handle. Duplicate for each drawer and center close to the top, Click on all and Align Left or Right.
For the outside door handle you can use the same setting to apply to your rounded rectangle or the B44 shape. Duplicate this shape and resize to a smaller size and arrange behind the main handle. Apply a darker Copper Matallic preset to this handle for a shadow look.
Click the Path Drawing Tool Custom Shape and select the Arch again and draw a rectangle the same size as the opening in front of your drawers. Select the Material Gallery and apply a glass preset to this. I used L02.
Click on the Outline Drawing Tool and draw an outline Arch Fr31 around the area using 3D Custom Mode.
For the decorations on the front and top of the jewelry box go to the Path Drawing Tool Custom Shape and chose a shape you like. For the front of this I used the leaf FI13 and the A21 Star and rotated the leaf a bit to position the way I wanted. Make you leaf 130h x 81w with the Path Tool Settings at Border Width 10 and Depth -30 and your star 53h x 33w with the Path Tool Settings at Border Width 5 and Depth -30.
Do the same with the top panel and remember to keep you Depth at -30. You can play around with the width a bit to get the look you like best.
Your Jewelry Box Clock is now complete. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Thank You.
